An Evening Reception at AMPAS – Fairbanks Center for Motion Picture Study Back
Posted July 27, 2015
We were delighted to serve the AMPAS guests at their beautiful, historic venue.
The Fairbanks Center for Motion Picture Study was named in the honor of the Academy's first president, Douglas Fairbanks. He served as the Academy President from 1927-1929. The 1928 Mission-style building has a signature tile roof and ornate, picturesque tower. The building was formerly the old Beverly Hills Waterworks. Situated in a small park, there's even a putting green and a soccer field on the south side of the building.
